Volvo 245
Hands up who misses the trailing integer from Volvo model numbers? For a time, Volvos model numbers would end with the number of doors on the model. A 244 was a 4-door sedan, a 245 was a wagon. The glorious 242 was the two-door. The weird DAF-related 300 series came as, among other models, the 343, a two-door hatchback. As far as naming-schemes go it was solid, obvious, and easy to understand. Very Volvo.
